(CALENDULA OFFICINALIS) Calendula, also known as Marigold, is a great medicinal herb for making salves for sores, burns, bleeding hemorrhoids, and wounds. The flower is widely used as a medicinal plant whose antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties make it a strong ingredient for healing. In addition to using whole petals, Calendula flowers can be ground into powder or made into oils, creams, and ointments. Calendula has been successfully used as a nasal wash for sinus problems. It is also used for treating vaginal infections, ulcers, prurtitis and bleeding. As a warm tea, it’s good for fevers, ulcers and cramps.
